Cellars International Wine Club Review (With Video)

Cellars International Wine Club

Cellars International Wine Club

Last month I was lucky enough to win a shipment of the Cellars Wine Club International Club. It's not a club that I would normally order for myself only because I do not care if I drink International or domestic wine. However, I have long been a fan of Cellars Wine Club and was looking forward to trying out a new club from them.

As with the other Cellars Wine Clubs that I have reviewed, I received my box toward the end of the month. This particular club features two bottles of wine a month and I requested both red and white, so I received one of each. Packaged with the wine was the newsletter, Tasting Notes, that comes with each Cellars shipment.

According to Cellars, you can expect wines from all over the world with this club. The wines I received were a 2008 Bandol Rouge from Domaine du Gros' Nore in France and a 2009 Estate Chardonnay Mendoza from Dona Paula in Argentina. The Tasting Notes gave me detailed information about the wineries from which the wines came as well as what to expect from the wine and how to pair it.

As you can see in the video below, the wines were packaged nicely so that I did not have to worry about any breakage. This is one of the things that I love best about Cellars Wine Club. Whether I am receiving the wine myself or sending it as a gift, I don't have to worry about the condition it will arrive in.

Would I order the Cellars International Wine Club? At $39.95 for two bottles, I would definitely order it as a gift. The cost of the 2 bottles that I received this month if I had not gotten them through the club would have been around $54 not including shipping. Personally, I am interested in trying the Sweet Wine Club or the Champagne Club next time just to try something different. Because those are very specific types of wine, I would only order them for others if I knew for sure they enjoyed those types of wines. The International Wine Club is a safer choice when you do not know the preferences of the receiver.

On the whole, I would definitely recommend the Cellars International Wine Club. The price is fair, the wine is good quality, and the shipping is perfect. The Tasting Notes help increase the enjoyment of the wine. Check out my video for full details.
