Club W and Duff Goldman Collaborate on Wine

Club W Wine with Duff Goldman

I'm a big fan of Chef Duff Goldman. When we took a trip to Baltimore recently, we drove all over the place just so we could sit outside the Ace of Cakes location (Charm City Cakes) for a couple of minutes and look at the building.

Another thing I am a big fan of is wine.

duff-goldmanHow excited was I when I learned that Duff has paired with Club W Wine Club to create his own dessert wine, Steel Kitten? Steel Kitten is a Syrah Port, produced in Santa Barbara County, California. It is fortified with brandy and aged in oak barrels for 9 months. You can pair it with a lot of different desserts, but Duff also specially created a recipe for Poached Pear & Gorgonzola Tart with Candied Pecans that is meant to go with it perfectly.

Although they had it for sale on the Club W site when I looked last week, it was saying earlier today that it was not available. But now it is available again! I'm not sure if supply is coming and going or what but I'm not taking any chances and am ordering tonight.

If you are interested in Duff's Steel Kitten, my suggestion to you is that you go ahead and get signed up with Club W so that you can buy it whenever you see availability. It doesn't cost anything to join, and you are not obligated to order anything right now. You'll just get on their list to be able to order when you want to. In addition, if you want to place an order now, for a limited time you can get 3 bottles for the price of 2. Be sure to read the fine print on that, though, because I think it only applies to the $13 bottles. It's still a great deal to get one of the $13 bottles free!

You can also read our full Club W review. I'll show you how the whole process works from the Palate Profile to the shipments.

Check out the video below to learn more about Steel Kitten and head over to Club W so you can take their Palate Profile quiz and get signed up for the club.
