Bright Cellars Wine Club

Bright Cellars Wine Club is one of the newer unique types of wine clubs that bases your shipments on your own specific wine preferences. Rather than everyone getting the same shipments every month, your shipment will be customized to you.

To customize your wine shipments, you must first take a 2 minute wine taste quiz.

They will ask you very simple taste questions related to things like candy, tea, juice, and how adventurous you are when it comes to wine. Don't worry about answering the questions right or wrong. It's just a starting point for them to suggest wines and you can change your preferences at any time. They will also take into account whether you prefer red wine, white wine, or a mix. 

Once you have completed the quiz and are ready to start your membership, you can begin with the introductory 6 bottles for $55 shipment. This deal is for new members only. After that, you can choose shipments of 4, 6, or 12 bottles.

Shipping is free on shipments of 6 and 12 bottles, so it makes it worth it to always get at least 6 bottles. For the introductory deal plus free shipping, you are getting each bottle for about $9.

The bottles suggested for you will be listed, including varietal, producer, area of production, and why they think the bottle is a good match for you. I was suggested a Cabernet Sauvignon in my first box, which I already have too many of in my cellar, so I clicked “Swap Bottle” and it suggested a Red Blend instead.

One of the things that I love about this club is that you can skip or pause at any time. Although it doesn't seem possible, you really can sometimes have too much wine. In those cases, you can pause your shipments until you are ready for more. It's also helpful if you are going to be traveling.

One of the most unique things I have seen at Bright Cellars is that they have a No/Low Alcohol bundle. This is an AMAZING offering that I wish every wine site had. It allows you to have wine on hand for ALL of your guests, even if they are sober. Keep in mind that because their inventory changes frequently, these wines may not always be available. I am hopeful, however, that they will continue to keep at least a few no or low alcohol wines in their rotation. While they are not a part of the club, club members do get a discounted rate on them.
