Wine Clubs That Ship To Mississippi

Do you want to ship wine to Mississippi? Looking for a wine club that ships to Mississippi? We found some great wine clubs that ship to Mississippi and have listed them below.

While shipping wine to Mississippi can be complicated, it is not impossible. With nearly half of all counties prohibiting beer and wine sales, a significant part of the state is dry. Complicating matters further, there are local municipalities located within dry areas of the state where jurisdictions have made alcohol sales legal. Understandably, this varied legislation makes it difficult to determine the legality of alcohol shipments. Even though the state prohibits most direct wine shipping, it is important to contact wineries directly to confirm whether they will ship to Mississippi. But alas – we have found plenty of great wine clubs that ship to Mississippi!  In fact, we've listed all the wine clubs that ship to Mississippi, among all of the wine clubs we've reviewed, below.  And, we've even featured our favorite wine clubs that ship to Mississippis below.  Here are our top wine clubs that ship to Mississippi!

Like many other southern states, Mississippi’s hot and humid climate is not particularly well-suited to grape growing. In fact, it is nearly impossible to grow vinifera varietals and French hybrids in Mississippi. Instead, vintners primarily grow Muscadine grapes, a native variety that thrives in the state’s sultry climate. Typically, Muscadine grapes are used to produce sweet desert wines, jams and jellies. While the state’s climate is certainly an obstacle,

winemakers also must overcome antiquated alcohol policies. Interestingly, Prohibition was not repealed in Mississippi until 1966, and many counties are still dry to this day. Nevertheless, the state is home to the Mississippi Delta American Viticultural Area, a winegrowing region established in 1984 that encompasses parts of the Mississippi Delta and portions of the watershed surrounding the lower Mississippi River. This AVA also includes land in Louisiana and Tennessee. Among efforts to propel the state’s wine industry into the 21st century, Mississippi State University formed an enology laboratory to conduct viticultural research. Nevertheless, with only three commercial wineries currently operating, Mississippi has a modest wine industry.

And if you're not looking for wineries or locally-produced wine, then consider ordering a wine club that can ship to Mississippi!
